Payroll - Digital

When employing someone for the first time, you must register as an employer. This is to inform HMRC that your employee has started working for you. We will now have a responsibility to calculate the tax and national insurance contributions (NIC) of your employee, and then withhold this form their pay and submit this to HMRC on their behalf.
Tax and National Insurance is usually calculated monthly and payments are made to HMRC by the 19th of the following month, or the 22nd if paying electronically.

Annual Accounts and Management Accounts

When we prepare year-end accounts for our clients, we view it as an opportunity to discuss the recent performance and prospects for your business. This enables us to give constructive advice in all aspects of taxation and business development.

VAT Returns

VAT returns tend to be the key areas that small business owners highlight as a major distraction in terms of both running and growing their business. Many of our clients had battled on for years preparing their own VAT returns, before coming to us.

Our team will be able to talk to you through how we can help and offer you a cost-effective method of relieving you of VAT returns admin and freeing up your time to generate value within your business.

Incorporating the VAT returns process into your accounts production process means that the accounts team can provide you with quarterly management accounts and timely progress updates against your annual forecast. It also means that the bulk of the work on the statutory accounts is completed within the fiscal year, meaning that filing can take place quickly and efficiently and as soon as the final quarter’s VAT return is submitted.

Self-Assessment

Most of our clients need to file personal tax returns, as a result of being a company director, self-employed or a member of a partnership. Our team will work to integrate the information from your company accounts into your tax self-assessment return. We will also factor in income from other investments, land or property and overseas assets if applicable.

Bookkeeping

Every business needs to keep record of their income and expenditure. This is called bookkeeping in the accounting world. As soon as you have the intention to start working for yourself, you should keep paper records of every financial transaction whether manually or electronically.

Embracing the change of the evolving tech landscape, which has meant an abundance of newly automated services. Accounting software, the cloud, and online communications are some of the technologies that are making some of the biggest differences. The use and range of these automated helpers is only going to increase and improve.

Under the new rules, every employer will have to give their workers the opportunity to join a workplace pension scheme that meets certain standards. This change will affect your

Limited Company Setup

Limited Company Registrations are our business.

Limited (or Ltd, both the same thing) Company is an entity through which you can trade with your business. New or old, large or small, Limited companies are for anyone. We hear often ‘I’m not yet big enough for a Limited Company’, it’s a common misconception, there is no minimum turnover or date by which you must start trading.

Trading through your limited company is a safer way to trade as the liability is limited to the share value. If anything should go wrong, you and your personal assets are protected. Any trade done through the company is the company’s liability, not yours. If you are trading as a sole trader however, the liability is all on you. This makes a Ltd Company a great option for new start-ups.

A Ltd Company (technically known as a company limited by shares) can be registered in just a few hours. The company will then be public information on the register of companies, held by Companies House in Cardiff. We are agents approved by Companies House.
